Davis Langdon & Seah was the first Quantity Surveying Consultancy practice to receive the ISO 9001 certification in May 1994 in recognition of its quality management system. Currently, the office practices in compliance with a properly designed and implemented ISO 9001:2000 quality system certified by PSB and IQNet.
As a full-service quantity surveying firm, Davis Langdon & Seah, Brunei also provides specialist cost engineering consultancy services to the oil and gas industry, in particular to the country's largest oil company, Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sdn Bhd (BSP).
With extensive onshore oil fields, refining installations, offices, hospital, port and numerous other support facilities and over 200 offshore structures, BSP required highly knowledgeable yet flexible cost management consultant to respond to its engineering, procurement and cost management needs.
Davis Langdon & Seah, Brunei responded with a combination of traditional and new techniques tailored to BSP's requirements.
We have extensive experience in providing services ranging from the preparation of traditional bills of quantities and schedules of rates, to post contract cost control, technical audits, project cash flow analysis, international cost comparisons and capital expenditure budget apportionment.
These services are now utilised on a variety of projects including offshore living quarter refurbishments and maintenance programmes at the Champion 7, Ampa-6, Ampa-9 and Fairley-4 offshore complexes, and the upgrading of instrumentation and control installations of tank groups and oil field beam pumps.
Davis Langdon & Seah, Brunei in conjunction with its sister local practice JBU-DLS has provided consultancy for the Facilities Management of Ministry of Defence Headquarters. If implemented, this will be the first fully integrated Facilities Management Contract in Brunei Darussalam.
Brunei practice also has produced several Schedule of Rates which include the latest edition of Schedule of Rates for Public Works Department which is due to be published. The office has provided consultancy services for the production of the Brunei Darussalam Construction Cost Hand Book 2008, the first of its kind in Brunei Darussalam.
